New Construction Inspection
Make sure your builder follows code — at every phase.
Building a custom or semi-custom home in Texas Hill Country? Don Kincaid performs phased inspections at critical milestones — pre-pour, pre-drywall, and final walk — to catch code violations and construction defects before they're hidden behind concrete and drywall.
Three Critical Phases of New Construction
Phase 1: Pre-Pour Foundation
Before concrete is poured, Don inspects the foundation formwork, rebar placement, post-tension cable layout, and soil preparation. Once the concrete is poured, these critical elements are hidden forever — this is your only chance to verify they're done right.
Phase 2: Pre-Drywall (Rough-In)
After framing is complete but before drywall goes up, Don inspects the framing structure, electrical wiring, plumbing rough-in, and HVAC ductwork. This catches issues that would be expensive to fix once walls are closed.
Phase 3: Final Walk
A full code compliance review before closing. Don inspects all finished systems, verifies proper installation, and documents any defects or incomplete work so your builder addresses them before you take possession.
